Favorite Songs: Garbage In
ImageI'm a longtime Garbage fan, but even I was surprised by the symphonic beauty of "It's All Over but the Crying," which appears on their compelling new album, "Bleed Like Me" (Interscope).

Radio listeners may be familiar with "Why Do You Love Me?," the disc's raucous first single. Other rewards await those who get their hands on the CD, notably "Crying," a majestic ballad that sounds like Burt Bacharach in a goth mood. Shirley Manson's voice has never been more enticing; she conveys the bittersweet lyric with a striking mix of vulnerability and cheek.
