Dean Martin "Forever Cool" branding collateral,Capitol Records/EMI Group

He looked more laid-back in a tux than most men will ever look in a pair of jeans. His persona was playfully seductive, effervescent yet down-to-earth. And his singing? No one ever owned a song with such breezy command as Dean Martin.

He was, and is, the quintessence of masculine cool.

Elvis Presley worshipped him and often performed his songs. Today's artists are equally reverent. Indeed, such high-profile contemporary performers as Joss Stone, Robbie Williams, Martina McBride and Kevin Spacey have worked on collaborations with Dean Martin.

It wasn't just his masterful vocal skills; Dino had a certain indefinable assurance that was purely magnetic. Never was an icon so relatable. Never was a sweet-voiced, affable guy so Olympian.

One biographer described the man born Dino Crocetti as a classic menefreghista, Italian for ... well, let's just say "a guy who doesn't give a damn." Not that he was indifferent. But the term reflects the way he greeted life: with a winning smile, a graceful melody and an aura of unflappable ease. Forever Cool.

Which explains why Dino's star has never faded. More than six decades after his first flush of fame, his recordings continue to enthrall listeners of all ages and backgrounds — lovers, gamblers, strivers, executives, hipsters, TV mobsters, grandparents, parents and kids.

He knocked the Beatles out of the #1 spot at the height of Beatlemania, in 1964, and ruled the roost at the iTunes Music Store four decades later.

"Everybody Loves Somebody," "That's Amore," "Ain't That a Kick in the Head," "Mambo Italiano," "Volare," "You Belong to Me," "Return to Me" – these are more than massive hits; they're ecstatic benchmarks on the timeline of American culture.

He continues to serenade us — that voice, full of moon glow and mischief, is everywhere. Dean Martin's suave, starry-eyed style is utterly universal in its appeal. His inimitable croon has helped set the mood for films like Goodfellas, Casino, Swingers, Out of Sight, L.A. Confidential, A Bronx Tale and Payback, not to mention TV's The Sopranos and The West Wing, and commercials for Nissan, Microsoft, Marriott Hotels and Heineken, among countless other marquee brands.

We are prepared to develop strong partnerships for licensing opportunities, merchandising tie-ins and other strategies with companies seeking to associate their products, services and entertainment properties to a legendary artist who has proven beyond a shadow of a doubt to be ... Forever Cool.
